These are just some of the things you will experience on our Caledonian Canal Adventure. Setting out from Oban, we will have three leisurely days in the canal. Once on the other side we will have amazing vistas as well as stops near Lindisfarne on the unforgettable Northumberland coastline. A fabulous welcome home party awaits us upon arrival in Blyth.

Life onboard

You are encouraged to get involved in all aspects of the voyage that you are comfortable with, from hauling sails, taking the helm, and even helping in the galley from time to time. Coming together as a team is what makes our overnight trips so memorable. All training is provided and there are tasks to suit all levels of ability.

What to Bring
  • Sturdy Waterproof shoes or hiking boots
  • Waterproof/Windproof jacket and trousers (there will be some available to borrow if you do not own any)
  • Several warm layers
  • Warm hat
  • Gloves (gardening gloves are good for hauling rope!)
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • A backpack or soft holdall for your stuff (there is no space for hard luggage)
  • Extra shoes (in case your first pair get wet)
  • Extra socks are always great to have!

  • Any medication you might need
  • A small towel and toiletries
  • Sun cream

  • Motion Sickness pills (ginger chews are great in addition)

Travel to Oban and from Blyth is the responsibility of the passengers to arrange.
