Description

This is a deposit for IMCD (contact William Fox). These activities are booked for July 13th from 9:00-6pm (time flexible but not date).

There would be 2 sessions for up to 15 participants.

Beginning: We will start with a brief tour for all participants of our workshops where we run woodworking and engineering NVQ’s. We are currently building a “Zulu”ship. Then everyone will get a tour of the Williams II followed by safety briefings. Depending on numbers from here we will likely split into two groups with group A immediately heading off to sail on the Williams II (10am) and Group B staying on the shore for other maritime activities.

Group A: We will put our life jackets on before casting off. Once everyone has their sea legs we will lift the foresails and Mizzen (depending on time). Everyone will get a chance to man the helm. Once at sea we can show them the aspects of our digital mapping information system. The brave among you can climb the ratlins to the top of the mast (if the sea is calm). Fingers crossed for Dolphin sightings! This group will likely eat lunch on the ship. Other activities would be set up throughout the day. We would aim to arrive back by 2pm to switch groups.

Group B: A half day of maritime activities. This would be discussed in detail a little closer to the time. We can agree which activities would best suit the group. Activities could include but not be limited to ropework, learning various knots, nautical maps and tide times, etc. We can set up small competitions to be discussed at a later time. This group would likely eat lunch in our workshops and then swap with the sailing group around 2pm.

Wrap up: We can come together at the end of the day to discuss outcomes and reflect on the experience.

Other things to note:

• We have full wet weather gear in case of inclement weather
• We will provide a catered lunch in our workshops for both groups
• We will send health forms/food preference forms 4 weeks before 
• We will send advice on things to bring and appropriate clothing
• A certificate would be presented at the end of the day.

Costs

Total costs for activities for 15 participants: £2999

Each additional participant £175- To be taken closer to the time once numbers are confirmed

We would request a deposit of £1000 to secure the booking. Payment in full would be due by June 16th.

Deposit is only refundable for 14 days minus £50 admin charge.
